Things werenโ€™t looking good for Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb after he exited with an injury against the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon.

The Cowboys made it to The Windy City after an airport malfunction left them stranded on Saturday and are looking for a second win in their first three games following a season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and a win over the New York Giants.

Lamb was unfortunate to go down under an awkward tackle from Chicago linebacker Noah Sewell that bent his ankle in a way it shouldnโ€™t have during the first quarter.

Slow-motion video of the incident is in circulation on Twitter/X, and shows the exact moment it happened.

Check it out below:

As bad as this looks, sports doctor Jesse Morse said he was confident Cee Dee would be able to return to the field, although a serious knee injury was also a possibility.

โ€œLeft ankle sprain, likely medial. Sometimes the left MCL (knee) is injured here as well. This is a very strong (deltoid) ligament, so usually it takes a lot to injure this. I expect them to tape this up and him to try to play through this,โ€ he wrote.

The Cowboys were trailing 14-6 early in the second quarter as of this writing, and CeeDee did come out for one play to start the period.

It will be interesting to see what happens with him over the remainder of the contest.
