Yungblud sent love to Ozzy Osbourne’s son following his tribute to the late rock legend at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.

After Jack Osbourne posted the full video of the English rocker’s epic tribute performance to his late father, which took place live at the VMAs on Sept. 7, Yungblud hit the comment section to write, “I love you Jack.” The 28-year-old rocker also added, “Ozzy forever.”

In a pre-taped message that aired during the VMAs, Jack Osbourne sat with his four daughters to introduce the tribute celebrating his father’s “amazing musical journey.”

“I know for sure it would make me incredibly happy to see these great musicians carry on his legacy and help inspire the next generation of rockers,” Jack said, before giving a shout-out to Yungblud (real name Dom Harrison), Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry and guitarist Nuno Bettencourt.

After a short highlight reel of Ozzy’s career was played, the live performance began with Yungblud walking on stage while kissing a cross necklace that Osbourne had gifted him.

Yungblud kicked off the tribute with a performance of  Osbourne’s 1980 solo hit “Crazy Train.” The singer changed the lyrics to Osbourne’s signature song to “I’m going off the rails on his crazy train” in a poignant salute to the late Black Sabbath frontman. Yungblud then segued into the 1972 Black Sabbath song “Changes.”

The tribute ended on an extra high note as Tyler, 77, belted out Osbourne’s 1991 hit “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” with Perry, 74, on guitar. Yungblud joined Tyler for the backend of the ballad. The Aerosmith rocker appeared teary-eyed by the time Yungblud shouted, “Ozzy forever!”

Ozzy Osbourne died July 22 at age 76, just 17 days after performing his farewell concert in Birmingham, England.

Yungblud had an extremely close relationship with Osbourne. Following the heavy metal icon’s death, Yungblud vowed that he would perform the song “Changes” at every one of his shows going forward.

During a recent appearance on Steve-O’s Wild Ride! podcast, the singer revealed the best advice Osbourne had given him.  “The most beautiful thing he ever said to me was, ‘Never compromise. They’ll get it later,’” he recalled. “It sounds like such a passive statement… but kind of kicking it with [Ozzy’s wife] Sharon… she said he saw a little bit of himself in me. I think not because we made the same music, just because we’re f—ing a bit nuts.”

Ahead of his VMA tribute to Osbourne, Yungblud told Billboard News, he was ready to honor his mentor. “I’m ready as a rabbit on Easter,” he said. “I mean, we got a very special tribute tonight. Just good old rock and roll in the name of the king, man.”
