Yungblud has postponed his upcoming show that was scheduled for tonight, September 18 at The Fillmore in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The singer said in a statement posted to his official Instagram account that he has been ill since his show on Tuesday [September 16] in Brooklyn, New York, and is still not feeling up to giving the fans the best performance he believes they deserve.

“Philly, I’m gutted to have to do this but I need to reschedule the show tonight,” Yungblud stated. “I’ve been trying to get better for two days since New York but I literally can’t get off the floor and doctors have advised me that I have a virus that requires me to rest and take it seriously. We will be rescheduling and moving the show to The Met Philadelphia on a date in the very near future. If you had tickets, please check your emails later today for more information.”

To help make up for it, Yungblud has opened a tab at Johnny Brenda’s and fans who had tickets for tonight’s show can show them at the door and have a beer on him.

At the MTV Video Music Awards last Sunday, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Nuno Bettencourt, and Yungblud joined forces to pay tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne. The supergroup stormed the stage at UBS Arena in Long Island, New York – the very venue where Aerosmith played their final show before having to cancel the remainder of their Peace Out World Tour. Yungblud and Nuno Bettencourt kicked things off with Ozzy’s signature song “Crazy Train,” followed by “Changes” which Yungblud crushed in July at Back to the Beginning – Black Sabbath and Ozzy’s final show. Also joining them was Black Sabbath and Ozzy keyboardist Adam Wakeman.

After the performance, both Aerosmith and Yungblud shared a brief clip of Steven Tyler and Yungblud embracing, with Steven saying cheekily, “We got a secret!”

Now, the “secret” has been revealed. Aerosmith and Yungblud recently announced a collaborative new single, “My Only Angel. The song was born out of their joint recent joint performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last Sunday. The song is currently available for streaming pre-save. But, that’s not all – both acts announced Wednesday that a full, five-song EP is on the way called One More Time. Along with the lead single “My Own Angel,” the EP will feature three more brand new songs, plus a new version of the Aerosmith classic “Back in the Saddle.” It comes out on November 21 through Capitol Records.

While only singer Steven Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry have appeared in the promo material for the upcoming release, a spokesperson for Aerosmith has confirmed that all members – including guitarist Brad Whitford, bassist Tom Hamilton, and drummer Joey Kramer – are involved with the project.

The forthcoming record will be available on several vinyl and CD variants.

The previously previewed “My Own Angel” arrives this Friday, September 19.

This is Aerosmith’s first new piece of material in 13 years. The group’s last album Music from Another Dimension! came out back in November of 2012. Featuring the hit single “Legendary Child” plus fan favorites like “Luv XXX,” “Out Go the Lights,” and “Street Jesus,” the album hit No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and peaked at No. 1 on both Billboard’s Top Rock Albums and the UK’s Rock & Metal Albums charts. Yungblud’s new album IDOLS arrived back in June. The record boasts the 9-minute epic “Hello Heaven, Hello,” “Lovesick Lullaby,” and “Zombie” which charted on both the UK Singles Chart and Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Singles.

Yungblud is currently in the midst of a U.S. tour in support of his new album IDOLS which arrived on June 20 via Locomotion/Capitol Records. It is the first installment of a double album. The alt-rock sensation, whose last two albums went to number one in the UK and broke into the Billboard top 100, has a back catalog that has accumulated an astonishing 6 billion streams globally.

The new 13-track IDOLS is Yungblud’s most ambitious yet. Making sure of no distractions, he headed to a location just outside of where he grew up in the north of England with producer Matt Schwartz at the helm, Bob Bradley on additional production, and guitarist Adam Warrington. On IDOLS, Yungblud explores the theme of hero-worship; how we look to others for validation, often putting others’ lives on a pedestal at the expense of the richness of our own experiences. Yungblud says, “We turn to others for an identity before turning to ourselves. Self-belief, self-reclamation, self-evolution and change. As we grow up, we lose our belief in magic and mystery. We begin to rationalize everything; our cage walls build up.” He added, “We compare ourselves to 15 different people before we’ve even had our breakfast.”
