Unveiling the Unknown: Mysterious UFO Encounters by the US Military During the War

More than 40 years have passed, but there are many events in the Vietnam War that are still hidden in secret. One of them is the UFO encounters of the US expeditionary force with very authentic evidence, from eyewitnesses to even photos.

According to the mysterious phenomena news site listverse, there are at least 6 reports related to the US military encountering UFOs on the Vietnam battlefield, details are as follows:

The naval ship HMAS Hobart was attacked by a UFO in 1968

In 1968, the North Vietnamese army received a number of combat helicopters from the Soviet Union, but rarely participated in combat. Yet in June 1968, an Australian spy plane discovered about 30 strange glowing objects approaching the military line at the 17th parallel.

Fearing an attack by the North Vietnamese army by helicopter, NATO forces quickly dispatched F4 fighter jets and naval ships to intercept. But before any shots could be fired, a US Navy ship suddenly caught fire and sank into the sea for unknown reasons.

In the midst of that panic, the Australian destroyer HMAS Hobart was ordered to be ready to participate in destroying the enemy. At 3:30 am, when the destroyer’s air defense radars detected strange objects in the sky, these strange objects attacked HMAS Hobart, damaging the ship and killing several soldiers.

During that time, the F4 pilots tried to come into contact with strange glowing objects but failed. Later that night, the pilots returned to their base.

The next morning, no North Vietnamese helicopter wreckage was found, although a barrage of anti-aircraft fire was launched to intercept the glowing objects.

After that strange event, General George S. Brown, commander of the US Air Force’s 7th Region, spoke up that although the government had confirmed that the US military’s losses that night were caused by Northern helicopters, Vietnam attacked but he believes that the HMAS Hobart incident was a case of UFO interference in military operations during the Vietnam War.

The event took place at the beginning of the Vietnam War. During one operation, Mazzola said he saw many strange objects flying in the night sky, and later had a direct contact experience with a UFO.

That is, during one fight, his platoon was surrounded by Vietnamese guerrillas. When his group tried to escape the enclosure, it was already dark. They wandered to find a way back and saw many strange glowing objects flying through the rice fields.

Taking on the duty of observer in the platoon, Mazzola had to call and report the coordinates of the “enemy position” to US naval ships.

Mazzola heard artillery fire coming from the south (from the position of the American warship) and then the flying object was shelled in another direction, from the north (perhaps the North Vietnamese army). But the artillery shells did not reach the target, they all exploded while in flight, Mazzola’s teammates could see black smoke in the air due to the exploding shells. They believe that these strange objects emit a strong energy that triggers bullets to explode prematurely.

The strange objects continued to move as if nothing happened and in less than 5 minutes they shot up vertically and disappeared.

Those experiences greatly influenced Mazzola and after the war he founded an organization called the Scientific Bureau of Investigation (SBI). According to the New York Times, Mazzola devoted his life to researching UFO encounters and other paranormal events.
