One of the most notable characteristics of Patrick Mahomes is his accuracy when throwing. However, it seems that for Super Bowl LV the Texas Tech graduate is at a superlative level.
This Thursday, in a meeting with the press, wide receiver Tyreek Hill revealed that during training this week Mahomes has passed the ball with an accuracy never seen before.
“I haven’t seen Pat throw darts like that in training. I mean, he’s throwing darts. It’s incredible,” the speedy receiver explained.
Mahomes, accurate
Hill’s words take on greater relevance when considering that since his arrival in the NFL he has had a completion percentage of 66%, the fifth best effectiveness in history. The list is led by Deshaun Watson (67.8), Drew Brees (67.7), Kirk Cousins (67) and Teddy Bridgewater (66.5).
In the postseason, Mahomes’ numbers dropped a little but he also remained among the elite. In three trips to the playoffs he registered an effectiveness of 65.5%, the sixth best in history.
Furthermore, in 2020 he is on track to have one of the best years in the postseason. At the moment he converted 73.5% of his passes, which ranked him as the fourteenth best participation by a quarterback in the playoffs.
