Alex Ovechkin earned praise from multiple sports figures after surpassing the Great One on Sunday afternoon.
The Washington Capitals’ captain scored his 895th goal, breaking a tie with Wayne Gretzky to become the NHL’s all-time goals leader. Among those reacting to the milestone accomplishment was Stars forward Tyler Seguin.
While Seguin congratulated Ovechkin, he also poked some fun at the veteran scorer in a short video tribute. Here’s what Seguin told Ovechkin.
“Ovi, congrats on 895. It’s been a pleasure to watch the last decade-plus of all your goals and be out there for a few of the minuses. Here’s to 1,000.”
