NBA fans were fooled into believing some fake quotes appearing to come from Miles Bridges on the back of Kevin Porter Jr.’s arrest this week.
The Houston Rockets guard was arrested on Monday after allegedly beating up his girlfriend, Kysre Gondrezick, at the Times Square hotel in New York. Gondrezick, a former WNBA lottery pick, is reported to have suffered damage to her neck vertebrae, as well as lacerations and bruising to her face.

A quote from Bridges condemning Porter’s actions surfaced on X yesterday, with TMZ cited as having published the following from the Charlotte Hornets player:
“There’s no place for Kevin Porter Jr. in our league. It’s unacceptable. He was a nightmare of a human being in high school too, constantly in trouble. I hope he is blackballed from the NBA if there’s enough public pressure.”
Fans found this to be a tad hypocritical as Bridges was arrested for a domestic violence incident himself last June. The forward was accused of assaulting Mychelle Johnson in front of their kids, causing a brain concussion, a closed fracture of the nasal bone, a rib contusion, and a neck muscle strain.
It appears they didn’t take some time to check that the account posting was NBACentel and not the reliable news source, NBACentral.
In other words, they were ballsacked…
Meanwhile, Porter has been released on a $75,000 bond.
