According to NBA superstar LeBron James, the new museum that he has opened in Akron is something that “we can all be proud of.”
For the purpose of gaining knowledge about the illustrious career of the National Basketball Association’s all-time leading scorer, a large number of spectators gathered to House Three Thirty in Akron as the Los Angeles Lakers were getting ready to play the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The LeBron James’ Home Court museum opened its doors to the public on Saturday morning. The museum is housed in the building that was formerly known as the Tangier restaurant and was reconstructed by the Akron kid’s foundation.
St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, where James received widespread recognition as a junior, is approximately three minutes away from the venue, which is placed in close proximity to the school.
It is approximately forty-four minutes away from the home arena of the Cavaliers, which is located in the downtown area of Cleveland. It was precisely in this arena that James became inextricably tied with the franchise at the beginning of his twenty-one season professional career and again upon his return from Miami
During a press conference held after the Lakers’ victory against the Cavaliers by a score of 121-115 on Saturday night, which could have been one of James’s final homecoming games, the superstar, who is 38 years old, reflected on the presentation of the museum.
James expressed his thanks for the opportunity to show his support for his community and foundation. James had a career-best performance for the Lakers, scoring 22 points, grabbing six rebounds, and dishing out six assists in a 10-7 victory over the Cavaliers (8-8).
The regular admission tickets to the museum cost $23, which is a tribute to the number that James wore on his jersey. House Three Thirty’s employment training program will provide work opportunities for those linked with the I Promise School.
These individuals will include children, parents, instructors, and other members of the family. House Three Thirty will get one hundred percent of the proceeds from the sales. The LeBron James Family Foundation and the Akron Public Schools have collaborated in order to bring the school under their management.
He added that it is “pretty cool” that James has been able to use the experiences he has gained throughout his life to give back to his hometown and transform it into a place that people are proud to call home. In all honesty, I am. The fact that my foundation has been able to do such a great deal is something that I have every right to be proud of. The museum is indeed one of the many things that my hometown has to be proud of, and it is absolutely one of those things.
