LeBron James’ agent Rich Paul celebrated his 42nd birthday with his loved ones on Saturday. He hosted a star-studded party in West Hollywood, which also gave rapper Cam’ron a chance to finally meet actress Nia Long. The rapper reportedly sent a DM to Long last year but got no response. The two stars posed for a picture during Paul’s party which made rounds on social media, giving fire to the rumors about them being in a relationship.

Many speculated that LeBron James set up the meeting between Cam’ron and Nia Long to get back at Houston Rockets head coach, Ime Udoka. Cam’ron responded to the rumors and revealed what really happened between him and Udoka’s ex-fiance.

After meeting with Nia Long at Rich Paul’s birthday party last weekend, Cam’ron addressed the encounter on the It Is What It Is Podcast. Social media had been rife with speculation that James was the one behind setting them up to get even with Udoka after their recent altercation on the court. At the beginning of the podcast, Cam’ron clarified, “I’m not with Nia. I met Ni-Amor. She was very, very cool.” Ma$e then told Cam’ron “The streets are saying that he invited Nia to the party and doubled back and invited you to get back at Udoka.”

To this Cam’ron replied, “If that’s the case, thank you. If there’s any truth to it, thank you. I see a lot of ‘Don’t fumble this.’” He further added, “Look I am not with Nia Long. I met her. She did not give me her number. I actually gave her my number. We have not spoke.” Cam’ron showed his appreciation for Long but also said there was nothing going on between them at the moment.

Ime Udoka and Nia Long ended their 12-year relationship last year after Udoka got suspended from his head coaching job in Boston. The former Celtics head coach was accused of violating team policies for having an intimate relationship with a Celtics staff member. Long and Udoka got engaged in 2015 but never tied the knot. Following their split, Cam’ron sent a direct message to the actress Nia Long on Instagram, expressing his belief that she should not be exploited or taken for granted, he hinted at the potential they could have as a pair.  However, Long didn’t respond to the rapper’s message.

With Cam’ron clarifying the rumors of LeBron James’ hand in setting up Nia Long to meet him, we take a look at what actually happened between King James and Udoka.

Ime Udoka’s history with LeBron James
The rumors about LeBron James set up a meeting between Cam’ron and Nia Long came to life after his argument with Ime Udoka. During a game, the Houston Rockets head coach told LeBron and Co. to “stop crying like b****es” after they questioned several missed calls by the officials. King James confronted Udoka and asked him to not use the word “b***h” lightly. Udoka doubled down on his comments and was ejected from the game for arguing with James.

Even though Ime Udoka has been a part of some off-court drama, he has not let that hinder his on-court performance. He led the Celtics to the NBA finals in his first year as the head coach before getting suspended. Even this season, Udoka has transformed the Houston Rockets franchise and turned them into a winning team. The Rockets are 13-10 under Udoka’s leadership.
