The Tennessee Vols, as expected, appear to be targeting offensive linemen in the NCAA transfer portal.
Tennessee is set to lose four starting offensive linemen after the 2024 season (Andrej Karic, Cooper Mays, Javontez Spraggins, and John Campbell), leaving LSU transfer Lance Heard as the only returning starter in 2025.
On Tuesday, Arizona transfer offensive lineman Wendell Moe tweeted that he received an offer from the Vols.
Moe is a redshirt sophomore who will have two years of eligibility remaining after the 2024 season.
The Long Beach, CA native was rated as a three-star recruit in the 2022 recruiting class.
Moe has been a terrific player at Arizona. He made 27 starts at left guard during his career with the Wildcats. In 2024, Moe was Arizona’s top-graded pass blocker (87.0) according to Pro Football Focus.
Tennessee redshirt freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava, who is also from Long Beach, went to the same high school as Moe (Long Beach Poly) before transferring to Warren. The two players follow each other on Instagram, so they’re obviously quite familiar with each other. That’s a factor that could potentially work in the Vols’ favor in their pursuit of Moe.
