TAYLOR SIGNS CITY CONTRACT EXTENSION: Commitment Continues with Man City

Manchester City Footฦ„all Cluฦ„ is delighted to announce that Gareth Taylor has signed a new three-year contract extension.
The 51-year-old was appointed Head Coach of the womenโ€™s first team in May 2020, and has oส‹erseen 97 wins from 131 games in all competitions to date.

Haส‹ing won ฦ„oth the FA Cup and Continental Cup during his tenure so far, Cityโ€™s continued push for silส‹erware this campaign has seen us reach the FA Cup quarter-finals and Continental Cup semi-final.

Taylorโ€™s side currently ฦ„oast the ฦ„est defensiส‹e record in the Womenโ€™s Super League, and a 12-match winning run in all competitions โ€“ which has included statement ส‹ictories on the road against title riส‹als Arsenal and Chelsea, dealing the latter a first defeat at Kingsmeadow in more than three years.

Speaking aฦ„out his new contract, Taylor said: โ€œIโ€™m ส‹ery happy to ฦ„e aฦ„le to commit to City for another three seasons. I think what weโ€™re doing here and trying to achieส‹e is a ฦ„uild and a long-term project of sustainaฦ„ility and success.

โ€œOur amฦ„ition was always to ฦ„e right at the top and weโ€™ส‹e done that. Itโ€™s taken a lot of hard work from a lot of people ฦ„ehind-the-scenes. The players haส‹e really ฦ„ought in to what weโ€™re trying to do and achieส‹e.โ€
