Hereโs the latest:
I also came across a ton of bonus Q&A video that I have available for paid subscribers only, beyond the demarcation line below.
On the Team USA loss, if youโve watched any of the elite European national teams play, you know this was totally in the realm of possibility. Germany head coach Gordon Herbert just revealed that every one of his players has committed for three years. We donโt have that with Team USA and probably never will, and the lack of deep chemistry showed. I just feel bad because a lot of Golden State Warriors people who like to complain and point fingers will throw Steve Kerr under the bus. But weโll talk about that some other day. Hereโs the link to our livestream which includes the postgame audio of Kerr and Herbert (and Jalen Brunson and Franz Wagner, timestamped, btw): https://www.youtube.com/live/qGJFsRxzXR4
As for Steph, for now with what Iโve seen from other elite European teams like Spain, Lithuania, Slovenia, Serbia, and in the interests of time, Iโll just say that Team USA will need him next summer at the Olympics. Iโve also been saying you might as well get Draymond Green if youโre getting Curry, especially to defend Nikola Jokic and if youโre getting Dray you might as well ask Klay Thompson (sorry, Bahamas!) and, heck, Kevon Looney for rebounding โ we know this is unlikely just because Team USA gonna Team USA, or something like that.
But back to Wardell, as itโs mentioned in one of the interviews below, one of the stops on his Underrated Golf Tour next summer is in Europe. Iโll grossly speculate that that was done on purpose! ()
Btw Steph and Ayesha Curry have pledged a goal of raising or investing $50 million in Oakland schools by 2026. With his golf bag from the Tahoe tournament, which you can read about here going for $50,000 last weekend, I think heโs well on track to โsplashโ that target. More details of the charitable goals are below as mentioned, but hereโsย Franco Finnย the auctioneer on the call for that $50k and also donโt miss the part where Steph and Ayesha read a book to the children and answer an audience question of, โWhatโs your favorite color?โ
