While the business-in-the-front-party-in-the-back style may seem like a one-carpet pony, Zendaya, 19, has other plans. “[My mullet was] so dramatic. Because it’s different, [and] a lot of people are afraid of what’s different,” she told The Coveteur in an interview released on Thursday, March 17. “The mullet’s coming back everybody!”

And when that happens, she’ll be ready to say “I told you so.” “I’m going to look at everybody and say, ‘Now you all want to wear my mullet,’” she said.

The K.C. Undercover actress is relieved that modern beauty is more focused on self-confidence. “Now [beauty] is more about art, about feeling good, about experimenting with your look—it’s not to impress other people,” she explains. “Changing up your look is not for somebody else.”
