A mother in India was extremely shocked and couldn’t believe her eyes after giving birth to a baby with 2 heads but only 1 body.

The baby girl was born on March 13 in Northern India weighing more than 3.3 kg in a deformed body with 2 heads, 2 necks, 2 spines but only 1 body. Doctors said that this baby’s chances of survival are very slim.

The baby’s mother, Urmila Sharma, 28 years old, went into labor at Cygnes JK Hindu Hospital in Sonipat, Haryana, northern India. The baby was born in an abnormal condition and required special care.

The baby girl has not yet been named.

Delivery doctor Shikha Malik said: “The baby’s parents are very sad and we are doing our best to help their family.”

Ms. Urmila Sharma and her husband, Mr. Subhash, 32 years old, had a daughter before. During Urmila’s pregnancy, the couple was so poor that they did not have money to do an ultrasound and detect fetal abnormalities, so they were very shocked to see the baby in such a condition.

“We found out she was pregnant with twins after an ultrasound just 2 weeks ago, by which time everything was too late.

Now that the baby is born, we can only do our best to save her, and we hope her condition will be more stable,” Dr. Malik added.
