Manchester United Midfielder Mason Mount Spreads Festive Cheer, Joins Local Nursing Home Residents for Early Christmas Dinner

Mason Mount, a midfielder for Manchester United, has been sharing holiday cheer at a nearby care home.

Mount shocked the people who lived at Timperley Nursing Home on Thursday by joining them for an early Christmas dinner.

United’s number 7 is due to come back from injury in January, so he was excited to spend his free time at the meal and meet the other people there, some of whom have been football fans their whole lives.

Mason’s visit was a surprise for everyone, and 102-year-old Rita Smith was there to meet him and his brother when they got to the Kingsley Healthcare Home.

They sat down with the residents to eat a roast dinner and share stories and laughs while pulling a cracker to start the party.

Mount and his Reds teammates went to the 34th annual dinner put on by the Manchester United Disabled Supporters’ Association earlier this week at Old Trafford. It was another very special afternoon of holiday parties.

Erik ten Hag’s players have also liked giving gifts to young fans this December. Recently, our women’s team had the chance to spend time with some inspiring patients at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
