The bronze statue boasted bulging eyes and remarkably slim fingers as it sat with its arms crossed.

Pupils and teachers spent six months creating their tribute at St Kentigern’s Academy in West Lothian, Glasgow.

It comes after Lewis seemed in high spirits as he tucked into a packet of crisps after performing at the British Academy Television Awards last week.

The singer enjoyed a bag of cheese and onion as he climbed into his car departing the London’s Royal Festival Hall.
