SO much for LeBron Jamesโ social media blackout.
The Cleveland superstar has been sprung reaching out to an Instagram model through a private message โ breaking his โZero Dark 30 โ23โ social media ban on the eve of the NBA playoffs.
The married man and father of three children is in hot water.
Following his teamโs win over Atlanta in Cleveland yesterday (AEDT) LeBron sent a private message to Instagram model Rachel Bush, who then captured a screenshot of LeBronโs opening line and posted the image to her Twitter account.
The four-time NBA MVP winner attempted to โslide into the DMโsโ of the 2014 Miss New York pageant semi-finalist, saying: โ Hey (sic) whatโs upโ.
She quickly posted LeBronโs moves to her Twitter account with a caption: โHaha (sic) wutโ.
Since then this private message has gone very public in a very viral way.
Bushโs social media followings have exploded since she posted and then deleted the screenshot of LeBronโs chat-up and she now has more than 235,000 Instagram followers and more than 25,000 followers on Twitter.
She is currently dating Cleveland Browns NFL safety Jordan Poyer, but lives in Boca Raton, Florida, near Miami where she attends Florida Atlantic University.
According to a report and her own post on Instagram, Bush attended the Cavaliersโ win over the Hawks at Quicken Loans Arena with Poyer, so perhaps she caught the eye of the former Miami Heat superstar from her courtside seats.
She has reportedly been seeing Poyer for more than five months.
LeBron, however, married his high school sweetheart Savannah Brinson in 2013.
The couple have two sons, LeBron Jr. and Bryce Maximus, and daughter Zhuri.
James famously declared himself banned from Twitter and other social media accounts this season to increase his focus, and caused a stir when he unfollowed the Cavaliers last month.
Heโs caused a bigger stir with those three words he sent to Bush.
But not as big a stir as her Instagram account.
James hasnโt been silent on Instagram either.
He either doesnโt care or doesnโt know heโs got tongues wagging.
Who knows what was going through his head?
Meanwhile, Bush has publicly downplayed LeBronโs advance, saying it could have been a member of LeBronโs management team using the account to contact her.
โHe has a wife and two-three kids she told The Billy Madison Show.
โI know he respects them and I respect them. They have certain people running their pages sometimes.
โDMs by multiple people where their friends or their manager have tried to talk to me pretending to be them. Theyโre totally okay with that.โ
She said she met current boyfriend Poyer when he also approached her on Instagram.
This is the world we live in now.
