As King Charles grows increasingly frail as he battles cancer, he prepares for the possibility that this could be his ‘last Christmas’.

Although King Charles (77) always puts his responsibilities first, as a family man, he knows his time is precious, according to Us Weekly. This year, King Charles wants to have a special Christmas, in case it is the last.

King Charles puts a lot of effort into the Christmas season

A source said that King Charles – who announced he had cancer in February 2024 – plans to participate in the annual walk to St. Mary Magdalene church on Christmas morning and record a Christmas speech to be broadcast in the afternoon.

“Nothing will make King Charles miss it. He will do everything that is expected of him and even more,” the source added.

Another source shared that those around King Charles are worried because “his health is not good”, despite him updating in September that he was “not too bad”.

While the festive mood may be somber this year, the first source said it will still be a “time to celebrate” as Kate Middleton is now cancer-free.

The source said of William and Kate Middleton, who have just moved into their new home at Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park: “They want to make the most of their time together. They are looking forward to making memories in what they believe will be their permanent home.”

Another source revealed that Kate Middleton’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, will also be at Sandringham to be with King Charles and the William – Kate family this Christmas.

Kate Middleton announced her cancer diagnosis in March 2024 after a long absence from the public, causing many rumors to spread. After completing chemotherapy in September, she announced that she was in remission in January 2025. She has since returned to royal duties.
