Kelly Osbourne has come out swinging against WWE star Becky Lynch after the wrestler made what she described as “grossly disrespectful” remarks about her father, legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne.
The 39-year-old television personality didn’t hold back when she took to Instagram late Tuesday night, calling the Irish wrestling champion a “dirtbag” and accusing her of deliberately dragging Ozzy’s name through the mud for attention.
It all started when Lynch, 37, appeared on a podcast earlier this week and was asked about her dream collaborations. Instead of praising the Prince of Darkness, she allegedly quipped that she would “never take cues from someone who can barely stand up straight without mumbling through his words.” The offhand remark, seen by many as a dig at Ozzy’s health struggles and battle with Parkinson’s disease, immediately sparked outrage among fans.
Kelly, who has long been fiercely protective of her father, wasted no time firing back. “I don’t usually dignify trash with a response,” she wrote to her 2.4 million followers, “but calling my dad out like that is beyond low. He’s a legend, a pioneer, and frankly, you’re a dirtbag for mocking him. Keep his name out of your mouth.”
Her comments quickly went viral, drawing in support from both Osbourne family loyalists and heavy metal fans who felt Lynch had crossed the line. Many took to social media to remind the wrestler that Ozzy, despite his health setbacks, continues to influence generations of artists — and even performed at the closing ceremony of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
This is not the first time Kelly has come to Ozzy’s defense. Over the years, she has spoken openly about the toll his illness has taken on the family, while also celebrating his resilience. In 2020, she said her father’s courage gave her “a new perspective on strength.”
As for Lynch, the self-proclaimed “The Man” of WWE has not yet issued a public response. WWE representatives also declined to comment when approached by the Daily Mail.
Some wrestling fans, however, are urging the superstar to clarify her remarks, with one tweeting: “You’re better than this, Becky. Ozzy is an icon, show some respect.”
With tensions now running high between one of reality TV’s most outspoken families and one of wrestling’s biggest names, the fallout shows no signs of slowing down.
And as Kelly made clear in her fiery post, anyone who thinks the Osbournes will let a comment like that slide is sorely mistaken.
