Hollywood actor and devout Tottenham supporter Tom Holland has revealed that he was brutually shut down by Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe when attempting to lure the Frenchman to White Hart Lane.
World Cup-winner Mbappe is one of the world’s best players and looks set to leave PSG next summer on a free in order to join Real Madrid when his contract expires next summer.
PSG are hopeful of keeping the 22-year-old at the Parc des Princes but, with Europe’s elite circling, know they have a fight on their hands given how the forward can begin pre-contract negotiations in January.

And while unconventional, it seems as if Spurs have had their hat unknowingly thrown into the ring by Spider-Man’s Holland, who revealed he tried to lure Mbappe to the north London club at last month’s Ballon d’Or gala.
Holland was at the Paris ceremony last month as part of a press tour to promote the new Marvel film ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and the London-born actor got the chance to meet the world’s best footballers as a result.
While meeting Mbappe, Holland took his opportunity by telling Mbappe to join his beloved Spurs, which the Frenchman brutally laughed off before saying, ‘It’s impossible! Impossible!’

A clip of their exchange can be found on Holland’s Instagram page, and while it wasn’t clear what they were talking about at first, the 25-year-old revealed exactly what was said days later.
Speaking to LADbible, Holland revealed: โWe went to the Ballon dโOr the other day and we met Messi and it was crazy. It was crazy!
โAnd we met Mbappe. I actually asked Mbappe, I said, โHey nice to meet youโ and he was really friendly, and I said, โMate you have to come to Tottenhamโ and he just burst out laughing!โ
Reports in France say PSG have resumed their own negotiations with Mbappe but have so far made no progress towards a renewal.
Mbappe asked the club to allow him to leave last summer but that request was blocked.

Perez remains coy about Mbappe and Haaland transfer rumours
Real Madrid were prepared to spend up to ยฃ197million to sign the 22-year-old in the summer window but again PSG refused to sell as they push to keep their star man.
Mbappe has always remained coy on his future, refusing to commit one way or the other to his plan.
‘I don’t know. Today I have to take the time. It is not easy. Either way, I’ll be playing for a big club,’ Mbappe told Amazon Prime recently.
‘At first I was disappointed [not to leave]. But well, I am not in the third division, I am in a club that wants to win the Champions League.
‘I am Parisian, I have my family, I feel good, I have always said it. I just wanted to discover something else.’
