The Buffalo Bills have won five straight AFC East titles but are finding new ways to celebrate.
Commemorative hats and shirts are fun. Game balls and victory speeches are uplifting. A head coach daring his star quarterback to do a snow angel on during a live TV interview is next level.
Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott was being interviewed by ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt on SportsCenter when quarterback Josh Allen jogged up behind him and said “coach of the year” into the microphone.
“I want to see an angel, a snow angel.” McDermott told Allen. “C’mon. Let’s go.”
Josh Allen and McDermott lied side-by-side on the powder-covered turf at Highmark Stadium, creating snow angels and a lifelong memory after the Bills dashed through the San Francisco 49ers 35-10 on Sunday Night Football. The Bills’ win clinched a fifth straight division championship.

“Any time coach asks you to do something, you do it,” Allen said in his postgame press conference. “I’m a good soldier. I’m not the biggest snow angel fan because you get cold down there. My toes are freezing right now, just trying to get in the shower. But it was fun.”
McDermott was completing a challenge that backup tight end Zach Davidson levied at halftime.
“We were coming down the tunnel at halftime and Zach Davidson tapped me on the hip and said ‘Hey, if we win this game you got to do a snow angel.’ I said ‘Alright, you got it,'” McDermott said. “I guess I followed through on my promise.”
