“He Is Joining Ozzy in Heaven”: Sharon Osbourne Mourns a Heartbreaking Family Loss nh

After an already difficult year, Sharon Osbourne is mourning the loss of her dog, Elvis, who recently passed.

The Osbourne family has been hit hard this year. As if the loss of music legend Ozzy Osbourne wasn’t devastating enough, just last week, Sharon Osbourne announced that the family’s beloved Siberian Husky, Elvis, has passed away.

In a post on Instagram, Sharon Osbourne shared the loss with fans. “I can’t believe I am posting this but my darling Elvis passed away this week. He gave me 14 precious years. He was by my side until the end. Rest in peace my darling boy! ?” The comments showered the family with love. Users said things like,”May Ozzy watch over him til y’all meet again,” and “So sorry for your loss ? he is joining Ozzy in heaven ???.”

A few years after the Osbournes wrapped filming for their reality show, The Osbournes, they adopted Elvis into their family. The family has been known to have multiple pets, including their dog, Rocky, who passed away last year. The Pomeranian, who was often referred to as “Ozzy’s sidekick” passed away after 15 years with the family.

Ozzy himself even shared a tribute at the time. “Two days ago I lost my good friend Rocky who has been at my side for 15 years. I’ll see you on the other side my friend. I love you always.” Elvis was similarly beloved by Sharon, who often brought him to sit beside her in interviews.

The loss of another pet is a low blow after what the family endured in July of this year. This summer, Ozzy Osbourne died from a heart attack after years of complicated health problems. Osbourne was the frontman of the band Black Sabbath and a heavy metal pioneer.

On July 22, the family released a statement, saying, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

Although it’s been three months since Osbourne’s passing, it seems that his absence has continued to linger in the hearts of his fans, and especially, his children. Just last week, Kelly Osbourne accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of her father, who was greatly beloved by his hometown of Birmingham. She expressed gratitude in her acceptance speech, saying, “On behalf of our family, thank you for honouring him in the place he loved most.”

Fans of Ozzy Osbourne and his family can watch the last three years of his life in the Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home documentary, which is now available to stream on Peacock.
