Jason Statham’s Touching Birthday Message to Courageous Care Home Resident Takes the Internet by Storm

   

Joyce Ensell, a resident of a care home, recently marked her 100th birthday. She was pleasantly surprised when she received a heart-warming video message from the famous Hollywood star, Jason Statham. In his message, Statham lauded Joyce for her courage during World War II and referred to her as a true hero.

Ms. Ensell, who served in the Womenโ€™s Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) during 1941-1944 and attained the rank of leading aircraftwoman, recently celebrated her milestone birthday at Royal Star & Garter โ€“ Solihull. The staff at the facility organized a surprise video message from Jason Statham for her special day. In the message, Statham expressed his gratitude towards Ms. Ensell for being his fan and conveyed that he is a huge fan of hers. Furthermore, he thanked her for her bravery and stated that serving in the Royal Air Force during World War II is the true definition of a hero. He concluded by wishing her love and best wishes on her birthday.

Known for portraying the tough protagonist in action-packed movies, Jason Statham has made a name for himself in the film industry with iconic roles such as those in the Transporter trilogy, Fast and Furious and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Interestingly, it is said that Ms Ensell enjoys watching these films from the comfort of her own room. Born into a mining family in Westerhope, Newcastle upon Tyne in 1921, Ms Ensell served in the Womenโ€™s Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) during the war where she met her future husband, Leslie, who was an RAF electrician. They tied the knot in 1943 and eventually moved to Birmingham where Joyce worked as a school lunch lady in the 1950s and โ€˜60s.

As part of her birthday celebration, the staff at Royal Star & Garter went all out by setting up a life-sized cardboard cut-out of the actor to be the centerpiece of the party. Accompanied by a cake, flowers, and a card from the Queen, Ms. Ensell was able to celebrate her special day with other residents. Despite reaching the age of 100, she still feels young and grateful for the thoughtful gesture by the staff. Ms. Ensell expressed her appreciation and happiness, stating that she had a lovely birthday party thanks to everyone at Royal Star & Garter.
