Sir Alex Ferguson has cut the price of his fancy house by £250,000 in order to find a rich buyer.

After his wife Cathy died, the famous former Manchester United manager, who is now 82 years old, put the £3.5 million home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on the market.

His five-bedroom house has a stylish kitchen and games room that are open to each other.

But because it was hard to sell, he lowered the price to £3.25m last week to try to get rid of it.

Photos of the property also show a beautiful chandelier in the hallway, bathrooms with separate toilets, and perfectly trimmed grounds.

There is artwork, wood bookcases, and a snooker table in the games room, and a unique “Ferguson clan” tartan carpet on the stairs.

According to the real estate agents working for him, “This impressive, deceptively spacious detached property is situated on one of Cheshire’s most desirable roads.”

Ferguson also ran Aberdeen. He moved to a £1.2 million home near his son Darren so he could be closer to his grandkids in the Cheshire village of Goostrey.

Brendan Rodgers, the 51-year-old boss of Celtic, is also trying to sell a house on the same road as Ferguson.

The price of his house went from £4.2m to £4m last month after he put it on the market.

A gym, landscaped gardens, a double garage, a bar area, CCTV, underfloor heating, and speakers on the roof are some of the things that come with it.

Ferguson managed Old Trafford from 1986 to 2013. Before that, he managed teams in Scotland, such as Aberdeen, St. Mirren, and the national team.

At Manchester United, he won 38 prizes, including 13 Premier League titles, two Champions League finals, and five FA Cups.
