Hailie Deegan Drops Shocking News About Her 2025 Racing Plans—Is She Leaving NASCAR for Good?

Haley go, haly, just what she needed for Nasa.

She has split way, is going to win the asking: where will Haley Degan be in 2025?

Driving for Hmt Motor Sports in the inding next by Firestone championship number 38, Haley, Dk.

Gosh.

Guys, I am so excited to finally tell you what I’ve been working on the last couple months.

It’s been crazy.

Obviously this change coming to the Open Wheel World is is definitely definitely a big step.

It’s a big change for me.

I know it’s going to be a big change for everyone around me, but to be partnered up with hmd to be driving for them is going to be a great experience.

So I’m going to give you guys a little shop tour today.

It is after hours.

There’s no employees here right now, but I’m going to give you the rundown of one of the most beautiful shops I’ve ever been in in my entire life.

So right here behind me we have all the Holler Bays.

They got five haulers.

Obviously they have a lot of drivers going to the Racet track, so a lot of Haulers is definitely necessary, especially with the hospitality side and everything going on there.

But you can tell the shop is already massive by the fact that they can fit five haulers in it just in the corner on the side, and right now they have all the equipment out getting it cleaned up, ready to go, because in a few days is the first test of the season, and that’s something that’s really nice about.

The indie car Indy next series is that there’s offseason testing, so their downtime isn’t very much.

So they’re definitely getting everything together as quick as they can because they are right back into things.

The season just ended a few weeks ago.

Shops: really cool because along with it being like the main area, they have this whole balcony section up here, a second story where all the management offices are, where the meeting offices are.

So there’s definitely lots of places to be able to sit, go through data, footage, have your meetings, debriefs, all of that, and then right here behind me is all the Bays for the cars.

Each car has its own Bay.

There is 10 Bays over here.

So it’s cool.

Having everyone kind of main front and center, right in the middle of the shop, gets everyone working together.

As you can tell, my car is right here, number 38, bringing it back.

So it’s pretty cool, definitely cool to kind of see that number come back to life.

The other one over here is where they build and wrap all the wings, so front rear Wings.

They are constantly working here from the moment every second I’ve been in the shop.

They have been in here working on the wings and they definitely have a lot of work ahead of themselves, with it being the offseason, trying to get ready for this new season.

To come up and leaving the main area over here, there is the Fab shop on the left right before you head to the stairs on this side and coming up the stairs up here is something that is a big, big differ than the Nascar world, because they don’t have power steering in the Indian x cars is.

Fitness is so important- and that’s something that’s obviously really important to me too in my racing in general and has always been so- to see them be able to have their own private gym inside the shop- probably one of the most badass things I’ve ever seen.

So when you first walk into the gym, you got the bathrooms, you got showers inside here

And then you have a full sauna.

That’s really really cool, something that definitely blew my mind when I first walked into the gym and then this beautiful gym like.

What a great place to be able to be in the shop working out, involved with all your team and crew members, and also, while you’re at it, you could be hitting the rower, looking down, looking at your car getting built.

It is pretty cool.

So you definitely are held accountable, like while you’re working out, because everyone can see you, which I think is honestly pretty cool too.

So now that I’ve given you guys the full tour of the shop, we’re going to check out my car a little bit, and the car is all black right now because they’re going to be getting fully rebuilt while there is a break in the testing off seon.

So uh, we don’t have a scheme on it right now.

But that’s totally fine, because the first test is obviously coming up in a few days.

Indie road course- super important test for me, cuz this is going to be my first time really experiencing the car.

So uh, it’s definitely going to be wild.

There’s going to be a lot of information.

I’m going to have to learn a lot of different things going on than I’m used to, but I think that’s a cool aspect of it.

There’s so much data, so much footage and so much you can build off of as a driver.

So right here inside the car, obviously, steering wheels are shaped a lot different.

Uh, definitely a lot smaller wheel.

You have paddle shifters on them, which I think is pretty cool.

I’ve actually been playing on my simulator with the paddle shifters.

Um so I’ve gotten pretty used to it because of that.

But you can tell there’s no C insert in it right now and that is because I just got the C insert done and they’re finishing it up getting the cover put on it.

So I’ll have that ready for the test.

And I’m sure a lot of you guys are asking why.

Why?

The big change in my career?

Obviously, going from a S car to Open Wheel is completely two polar opposite things in the Motorsports world, and I I’ve always watched indie car.

I’ve always loved watching it, enjoying it, but when I started racing the Srx series, I got to meet some of the Indie Car Legends of that side of the Motorsports world and it really sparked my interest even more in the Open Wheel side of things.

And this year I took the opportunity to hop in a F3 car and it was one of the coolest experiences that I’ve ever had

And honestly I just fell in love with it.

One thing led to the next, literally, and I went to a few indie car races.

I think a few of you guys saw me there cuz I started seeing it the moment I walked into Iowa.

It was blasted on Twitter and I was keeping updates with they, seeing everyone talking about it, and I thought that was funny.

But that wasn’t the moment I was made the decision yet to go any next racing, but having those conversations, being a part of it, being in the pit, that sparked so much conversation.

So I flew up to Indie, checked out a few of the shops, met with a few of the teams, met with Hmd, and I am so excited to be a part of part of Hmd Motorsports.

I’m really looking forward to everything of this year, whether it’s just the testing, the racing, everything combined together.

I know it’s going to be a great experience.

Everyone has treated me amazing here from the moment I’ve walked through these doors, so we’ll see what’s com.
