Elon Musk Uncovers Shocking Fraud: Tax Dollars Paid to Fake People, Including the Unborn and the 215-Year-Old

In a stunning revelation that has left Americans baffled and outraged, Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency has uncovered massive fraud in the U.S. unemployment system — including claims filed by people who don’t even exist.

According to a bombshell report released by the government watchdog agency Doge, nearly 9,700 unemployment claims worth $69 million were filed using birthdates that haven’t even happened yet. In one particularly outrageous case, a claimant listed their birth year as 2154 — and still received $41,000 in unemployment benefits.

“This is so crazy that I had to read it several times before it sank in,” Musk posted on X (formerly Twitter), expressing disbelief at the findings. “Your tax dollars were going to pay fraudulent unemployment claims for fake people born in the future.”

A System Without Sanity Checks

The Doge report revealed that the unemployment system had no sanity check for birthdates that were clearly impossible — such as individuals too young, or far too old, to be part of the labor force.

Among the most egregious examples:

  • 24,500 claims were filed by people aged 115 years and older — a lifespan no living American has reached. These cases accounted for $59 million in fraudulent payments.

  • Nearly 28,000 claims were submitted for toddlers between the ages of 1 and 5, totaling a jaw-dropping $254 million in unemployment payouts. These children were obviously too young to work or file any sort of claim legitimately.

  • And perhaps most absurd of all, multiple claims were traced back to future birthdates — some as far off as the year 2140 and beyond.

According to Doge, the system was operating without even the most basic filters or cross-checks that would have flagged obviously invalid applications.

Musk’s Mission to Cut Waste

The Department of Government Efficiency (nicknamed “Doge”) was established during President Trump’s administration with the goal of slashing government waste, exposing fraud, and bringing private-sector efficiency to federal bureaucracy.

Elon Musk, serving as an unpaid government employee, has been at the helm of the agency’s latest efforts. Though best known for his work in tech and space exploration, Musk has taken on government inefficiency as his latest frontier — and the results are already raising eyebrows across Washington.

“This isn’t just a glitch — this is systemic,” Musk said. “We’re talking about hundreds of millions of dollars vanishing into thin air, handed out to fake people with fake identities, and no one in the system noticed.”

He added that the team is developing AI-powered systems and new verification protocols to prevent these types of errors in the future.

Broader Crackdown on Bureaucratic Fraud

This report is part of a broader initiative by the current administration to root out wasteful spending and fraud in government programs — especially those created or expanded during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since the pandemic, there has been a surge in unemployment benefits and emergency relief programs. While many helped Americans in genuine need, the sheer volume of claims overwhelmed outdated systems, making it easy for fraudsters to slip through the cracks.

In recent months, Doge has also flagged suspicious cases involving:

  • Dead people receiving food stamp benefits

  • Duplicate social security numbers tied to multiple benefit accounts

  • Fraudulent small business loans tied to untraceable shell companies

The agency’s investigations have already led to multiple arrests, and several states are now working with Doge to clean up their systems and recover stolen funds.

A Call for Accountability

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are reacting strongly to the report. Some are calling for emergency hearings to determine how such glaring errors were allowed to go unnoticed for so long.

“Regardless of political affiliation, no one should be okay with this,” said one senator. “We owe it to American taxpayers to ensure that their hard-earned money isn’t going to ghosts, toddlers, or time travelers.”

Meanwhile, Musk says the fight is far from over.

“This is just the beginning,” he wrote on X. “We’re going to expose every broken system, every loophole, and every fraudster who thinks the government is a free ATM.”
