Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Heartwarming Moment: Serenading His Daughter with ‘You’re Welcome’ from Moana While Practicing Handwashing

Dwayne Johnson, also known as “The Rock,” is teaching his daughter about the importance of washing her hands amid the coronavirus pandemic while singing a song from the Disney film in which he stars.

In a video shared on Instagram, Johnson explains that it has become a ritual in his household for his one-year-old daughter, Tia, to “demand” that he sings the rap section of “You’re Welcome” from Moana before he takes a shower.

He emphasizes the importance of teaching kids how to wash their hands and suggests using the rap portion of the song as a fun way to engage them. Johnson retrieves some soap to wash Tia’s hands before breaking into song.

Johnson says near the end of the song, “The coronavirus has got to go.” He asks Tia to tell his viewers to stay healthy and safe.

The World Health Organization (WHO) advises that people should wash their hands regularly and thoroughly with soap and water to prevent further spread of the coronavirus.

The organization states that people should wash their hands with soap and water, making sure to dry them properly. If soap and water are not immediately available, an alcohol-based hand rub can be used instead, according to the WHO.

Properly washing your hands takes about as long as singing “Happy Birthday” twice, which is approximately 20 seconds.
