Country Legend Alan Jackson Struggles to Stand on Stage – The Hidden Illness Revealed!

Alan Jackson is expected to take the stage for a special performance at the Academy of Country Music Awards on May 8.

The legendary country singer is joining several other country icons at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. They include Brooks & Dunn, Chris Stapleton, Clint Black, Cody Johnson, Kelsea Ballerini, LeAnn Rimes, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts and Wynonna Judd.

The prolific country superstar recently performed on the Grand Ole Opry stage for the 100th anniversary and is also touring as part of his “Last Call: One More for the Road Tour,” which he has described as the final opportunity for fans to see him perform. The tour began in 2022 and is set to continue through 2025.

The farewell tour for the 66-year-old singer-songwriter is partly due to his battle with a chronic neuropathy condition, which he first revealed in 2021.

Here’s what to know about Jackson’s health condition.

What is Alan Jackson’s health condition?

For over a decade, Jackson has battled Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease โ€” a group of genetic conditions that affect the nerves connecting the brain and spinal cord to the rest of the body. The disease has affected his ability to move and stay balanced on stage.

In a 2021 interview with the “TODAY” show’s Jenna Bush Hager, Jackson said he inherited the disease from his father, and it has affected several members of his family.
