Reeves plays a Hollywood star named Reef who is forced to confront his problems and atone for his past errors after being threatened by bizarre video footage from the past.
As per Apple Original Fims (via Variety), Diaz is now in talks to star in Outcome. The nature of Diaz’s role has not yet been confirmed, as additional characters besides Reef have not yet been disclosed. According to Apple, however, Diaz is in final negotiations for the part.
Outcome Is Notable In The Careers Of Multiple Stars
This Outcome news furthers Diaz’s return to acting. Back in 2018, Diaz made headlines by announcing that she would take a step back from acting in order to focus on her career as an author and entrepreneur. She has not had a film role in a decade since she played Miss Hannigan in the 2014 remake of Annie. Since then, it was announced that she would be starring alongside Jamie Foxx in Back in Action, which comes out this year. Her roles in Back in Action and Outcome indicate that Diaz is officially surfacing from retirement.

Cameron Diaz coming out of retirement for 2024’s Netflix spy comedy Back In Action means the star can redeem her and Tom Cruise’s infamous movie.
Outcome will also reunite Diaz and Reeves on screen. The last time the pair starred together was in the 1996 dark comedy Feeling Minnesota. Reeves has been keeping busy recently between the John Wick franchise and the upcoming films Constantine 2 and Good Fortune, so Outcome is another exciting project to tack onto his already-busy schedule.
In addition to being key career moments for Diaz and Reeves, Outcome will be a positive step in Hill’s behind-the-scenes career. The comedic actor made his directorial feature debut in 2018 with the film Mid90s. With a great cast on his side, hopefully Outcome can be a worthwhile sophomore feature for Hill.
