Happy Bey-Day!
Beyoncé reportedly celebrated her 42nd birthday with her husband, Jay-Z, and their kids by staying in a $20,000-per-night villa on a private island.
The “Cuff It” singer and her rapper husband, 53, rented out Mermaid Bay, a luxurious cluster of villas located within the ultra-opulent private French Polynesia resort, The Brando, sources told TMZ in an article published Thursday.
According to the insiders, Beyoncé’s family and entourage arrived on the property last Tuesday and stayed through at least Friday.
Beyoncé, Jay-Z and their three kids — Blue Ivy, 11, and 6-year-old twins Rumi and Sir — reportedly stayed in the main residence, which costs around $20,000 a night.
The swaggy accommodations include four bedrooms, a full kitchen, a living room, a private deck, a private pool, an outdoor dining space and a private dedicated butler, according to the resort’s website.
Meanwhile, the pair’s guests stayed in the remaining 10 villas, which vary from having one to three bedrooms and each has a private pool.
The website calls the villa experience “privacy redefined” and notes that each residence is sustainably built by “using natural and modern materials.”
The resort includes a spa and wellness center and features several authentic restaurants on site.
Beyoncé, who has been busy performing on her “Renaissance” tour since May, gave a sneak peek of her birthday festivities by sharing a rare photo with her parents, Tina and Mathew Knowles, via Instagram on Monday.
The Grammy-winner, whose actual birthday is Sept. 4, also posed for photos with Jay-Z while celebrating with a disco ball-themed cake and balloons.
Beyoncé looked like an “Alien Superstar” in sparkly silver over-the-knee boots, denim shorts and a chrome-colored T-shirt. Meanwhile, Jay-Z showed his appreciation for Beyoncé by rocking a T-shirt with his wife’s picture on it.
