Kirby Smart Gets Good News With Georgia Football’s Latest Announcement t

The Georgia Bulldogs are regrouping after their College Football Playoff loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Sugar Bowl.

The SEC powerhouse fell short of its national championship aspirations this season, but Kirby Smart and his program are now looking to come back stronger than ever in 2025.

Georgia landed a step in the right direction on Tuesday. Wide receiver Dillon Bell — one of the Bulldogs’ top offensive weapons in 2024 — announced his decision to return for his senior season in Athens.

Bell notched career highs in catches (43), yards (466) and touchdowns (4) in his junior season. The electrifying playmaker also rushed for 107 yards and one touchdown in his 13 game appearances.

While Bell finished the year with some decent statistics, he also led the team in dropped passes — including a crucial dropped ball that looked like a sure touchdown in Georgia’s CFP loss to Notre Dame.

Despite these drop issues, Georgia is clearly confident in Bell’s ability as a returning weapon.

“AGTG lets run this back,” Bell wrote in a joint post with Georgia Football on Instagram.

This isn’t the only wide receiver news Smart and the Bulldogs landed on Tuesday. Earlier in the day, the program landed a commitment from Texas A&M transfer Noah Thomas — the top-ranked available WR option in the 2025 transfer portal.
