Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham are one of those celebrity couples who manage to share their lives on social media while ensuring that they keep their private lives to themselves. This is probably why the couple has been together longer than most celebrity couples’ marriages have lasted.

Rosie and Jason began dating after meeting on the set of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. While the couple was able to date in secret for several months, they finally tired of the hiding and made their relationship official in 2010.

And although there were some tongues wagging because of their 20-year age difference, none of the chatter seemed to phase the couple.

After Jack was born, the rumors began again that Rosie and Jason were planning their big day and would be saying wedding vows to one another in 2018.

The rumors got to the point that the tabloids were stating that wedding bells would be ringing at the end of 2018. They went so far to state that wedding invitations were “due to be sent out shortly.”

But those rumors turned out to be just that, and Rosie and Jason remained happily engaged going into 2019.

Having Kids Was More Important To Rosie And Jason Than Getting Married

The question of marriage was still one that media outlets wanted answered after Jack was born. In fact, the question was asked more than ever. That was until Rosie set the record straight about where the couple stood on marriage, when she spoke to Extra in 2018.

“I think the time will come,” the then mother-of-one said. “We’ve been so focused on our work for so long, and Jack came along. We definitely talk about it, we’re looking forward to that time, it’s also not a huge priority for us, we’re so happy.”

“I think it will be fun to do it when the ????????????????’s grown up a bit and he can be involved in the wedding,” she added.

In August 2021, the Mad Max: Fury Road star announced that she was expecting again, via a post on Instagram.

“Taaa daahhh !! #round2,” Rosie wrote.

If pregnancy number two is anything like her first, Jason and Rosie do not have any plans of getting married in the midst of Rosie being pregnant.

Walking Down The Aisle “Seems Silly” At This Point

In July, The Globe reported that Rosie and Jason simply were not getting married because “the whole idea seems silly after she’s spent a third of her life with her man.”

The publication stated that Rosie indeed wanted to be married someday but that she was satisfied with the engagement ring, representing the commitment she and Jason had toward one another.

Further still, the modeling jobs that she was taking and the films that the Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels star were shooting made it impossible for the couple to even think about trying to put on a wedding at this time in their lives.

Instead, the couple would likely opt for something small and “last-minute,” per the publication when the time came.
