Jennifer Anistonโs dogs are her family. Sheโs been a longtime canine lover and has had them as pets for nearly all her adult life. Get to know her pup pals, both past and current.
The Morning Show star has three dogs that live with Jen in her $21 million Bel Air estate. Her most recent addition is a white shepherd mix whom Jen adopted as a small puppy via an animal rescue organization in October 2020.
โHi! Iโd like to introduce to you the newest member of our familyโฆ.this is (a very tired) Lord Chesterfield. He stole my heart immediately,โ she captioned an October 11 video of the pup sleeping comfortably on her sofa with a bone still in his little mouth.
Clyde is smaller and has frequently joined Jennifer as she heads to work for her long filming days. Sheโs posted photos while taking him for a walk through a studio lot, along with him riding with her in a golf cart between stages, as seen in the photo below.
Jennifer got Sophie when she was still married to ex-husband Justin Theroux. Heโs a major fan of the pit bull breed, and they raised her as a pup together prior to their 2018 split.
Sophie is the actressโ TV watching buddy, as she shared an Instagram Story in March 2020 of the pup on the bed next to her, then panned to the television screen, which showed Peter Weber on The Bachelor. โIn last nightโs newsโฆSophie is very invested in this,โ Jen joked in the caption. In another Story she showed Sophie and wrote, โRiveted. Riv-e-ted.โ
The former Friends star sadly said goodbye to her longtime canine companion, a white German Shepherd named Dolly, in July 2019. She got Dolly as a pup in 2005, following her split from ex-husband Brad Pitt. When she began dating Justin in 2011, the actor became Dollyโs new dad.
Justin was so heartbroken by Dollyโs passing at the age of 14 that he shared photos of a ceremony the former couple held together to honor their late pet. He posted Instagram photos of her white fur covered in colorful flowers while waving burning sage above Dolly.
The Leftovers star even shared a photo clasping hands with Jen over Dollyโs coat and wrote a heartfelt caption, reading: โTonight, at sunset, after a heroic struggle โฆ our most loyal family member and protector, Dolly A., laid down her sword and shield. She was surrounded by her entire family โฆ Rest In Peace Dolly.โ
Jenโs O.G. pet was Norman, a Welsh corgi-terrier she got during her early days on Friends. He was an โonly childโ until Dolly came along and went everywhere with Jen. She even brought him on stage during an appearance on her pal Chelsea Handlerโs former E! late night show, Chelsea Lately. After a long life filled with love, Norman died in 2011 at the age of 15.

Somehow, Jen got all three of her pups to give โsmilesโ for the camera on National Dog Day. Even Lord Chesterfield gave a big, open-mouthed grin.
Puppy Love
Jennifer shared a photo cuddling Lord Chesterfield on Thanksgiving 2020, noting she was โthankfulโ for her growing boy. She had just adopted the pup from an animal rescue organization a month prior in October 2020.
Off to Work!
Since heโs the smallest of her canine trio, Clyde often gets to accompany Jen as she goes to work on The Morning Show. Sheโs seen here taking him for a walk around a studio lot.

After voting in the November 2020 election, Jennifer kissed Clyde after placing her โI votedโ sticker on his head.
Beautiful Dolly
Jennifer owned her beloved white German Shepherd Dolly from 2005 until her death in 2019. Ex-husband Justin Theroux became her de facto doggie daddy when the pair began dating in 2011, and he mourned her loss alongside Jen. Sheโs seen here in 2007 taking Dolly for a walk on the way to a friendโs house.
Bonding Over Dollyโs Death
When Dolly died on July 29, 2019, Justin shared moving photos of the couple having a ceremony to honor her life. They covered her white fur in colorful flowers and clasped hands over the pooch. Justin wrote in the caption, โTonight, at sunset, after a heroic struggleโฆ our most loyal family member and protector, Dolly A. laid down her sword and shield. She was surrounded by her entire family.โ
He added a quote from George Vest that read: โThe one that never deserts, the one that never proves ungratefulโฆ is the dogโ faithful and true, even in death.โ
Beloved Norman
Jenniferโs first dog as a young adult was her Welsh corgi-terrier, Norman. She had the beloved pup since her early days on Friends through his death in 2011 at the age of 14. Sheโs seen here in 2005 taking a walk down the beach with Norman.
