How Brock Purdy Continues To EXPOSE NFL Defenses (Video)

One of the most pervasive narratives pushed by the media is how Brock Py is a product of Shanahan system and the player surrounding him.

But after 4 weeks with no Christian mcaffrey and dealing with the plethora of injuries, he currently leads the league with 1,130 passing yards and throughout this Patriots game he went a long way in killing the narrative that he can’t throw deep, as he averaged 19.2 yards of completion.

So in this video I wanted to break down Brock P’s performance against the Patriots and how he continues to expose Nfl defenses in a variety of ways, while Py played with a lot more aggression in this game than usual.

What was impressive to me is how he paired this aggression with his ability to read defenses on this deep connection to auk.

On this Crossing route, for instance, part is reading the Fiveman front from the Patriots and sees the safety dropping off, telling him it’s potentially a cover two variation.

This play action to Debo then helps draw up these linebackers.

So Py has the ability to read the safety and as soon as he gives Brandon auk this cushion and turns to Debo, Samuel Py knows that is’s going to have iuk coming open because of that play fake.

They ran earlier as well, so he delivers it to hi

m on time, and they pick up 38 later.

In this game on San Francisco’s fifth Drive, they decided to once again pull out this concept.

This time, though, the Patriots are running a cover three zone, so P’s read man on this play.

Is this middle safety?

This time, though, he decides to break on Brandon auk’s cross Route.

Pie is able to recognize that and lays out perfectly to Debo Samuel.

And even when the Patriots only brought three defensive linemen and dropped the rest into coverage, Pry was able to identify the defense’s scheme and how to attack the weakness on this play.

For instance, the Patriots are running cover two and, in the hopes of taking away this Crosser R Oute, they have this linebacker dropping deep into this vertical seam area.

But Pry knows there’s a soft Spa of the Zone forming in between him and the corner.

So he lays out there to Dwan Jinnings, and this is an excellently placed pass.

He’s not only layering this ball into the second layer of the defense, but see how Jennings doesn’t have to slow down at all.

This means he gets to pick up additional yardage.

Perhaps one of P’s most elite skills, though, is his ability to quickly identify a player out position and Target them on this deep 48 yard post to Jan Jinnings, for instance.

P is reading this cornerback the entire way and as soon as Jinnings gets him to turn his shoulder, Py understands that Jinnings won this route, releases this ball way before he comes out of his break and picks up a massive game.

This is the type of play you love to see out of a Young quarterback.

Another aspect of P’s game that really makes him El is his ability to throw on the run.

On this play, for instance, the Patriots have a stunt up the middle that beats Aaron Banks, and on the back end they have cover two man.

Initially, it looks like the Patriots won this play, but somehow P’s able to break out of the pocket and, with the defender barreling down on him, he directs traffic and completes a pass to George Kd over the Middle, where Pry showed off this ability.

The best maybe, though, was this nullified touchdown pass, where he rolls out the back of the pocket once again, with Aaron Banks giving up the pressure and then, with a plethora of defenders in his face, Brock Py not only gets off this ball, but somehow completes the pass to Kyle yek

In The End Zone.

If it were any other quarterback, we would hear just how Elite this was of Brock pie.

But because it’s py, this is almost expected at this point.

Another benefit of P’s ability to get outside the pocket and throw on the run is you can even have some design type roll outs.

This not only gives the play more time to develop but also takes some stress off your offensive line, as they can attack horizontally.

But Wallp Party can be effective on the Run.

He, first and foremost, is a great pocket passing quarterback.

On this third and N, for instance, P is expecting to Blitz and once it does come he understands he has man coverage on Brandon auk and even with him knowing he’s probably going to get hit on this PL, he stays in there long enough to deliver this pass.

It may not be perfect, but it’s enough on Third and N to move the chains.

So overall, in this Patriots game, I do think Brock pie continued to prove he’s a franchise quarterback that can win in a variety of ways.

In this game, for instance, he was asked to be extremely aggressive and he delivered, while in other games he’s thrown above 75% completion percentage.

So while there was this narrative that party could only win in one certain way headed into this season, so far.

It looks like that’s been dispelled, as he’s W without Christian mcaffrey and looks like one of the League’s best quarterbacks doing it.

But ultimately, these are just some of my thoughts about Brock pie in this most recent Patriots game, and I’d like to hear your thoughts down below.

It would also mean a ton to me if you could like And subscribe and, as always, I hope you guys have a great rest of your day.
