Dwayne reposted a video by social media comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr, who sarcastically hit out at the waxwork.
The jokester, who spoke over a snapshot of the rebuked figure, said: โThatโs how Paris think he look. They turned The Rock into a pebble. It look like The Rock ainโt never seen the sun a day in his life. Whoever the artist is, donโt need to do no type of art.โ
Johnson, who appeared to be amused by the comedianโs commentary, posted the video and accompanied it with a caption to share his own thoughts on his waxwork.
The Jumanji star wrote: โI knew my boy @jamesjeffersonj had this Rock wax statue in his roasting crosshairs. Legit belly laughed at this.
โFor the record, Iโm going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris France so we can work at โupdatingโ my wax figure here with some important details and improvements โ starting with my skin color.โ
He concluded, โAnd next time Iโm in Paris, Iโll stop in and have a drink with myself,โ adding a wink emoji.

A final perplexed commenter wrote, โSo yโall are just gonna leave out The Rockโs whole skin tone?? Did yall not look at a pic or anything?? A video?? Ask someone of color their opinion?โ
The scultptor behind the wax work, Stรฉphane Barret, stated on The Musรฉe Grรฉvin website that he relied on only photographs to perfect The Rockโs look.
He said: โWhat was a little harder for me was the sample photo that was chosen, where he just had a very slight smile on his face, an expression thatโs quite difficult to achieve. It was very subtle.
โWe worked on his face and eyes several times, because the most complicated thing about realism is getting the statue to come alive from the visitorsโ perspective.โ
