Tom Holland has said it would be ‘an actual dream come true’ to be cast as the next James Bond.
The actor, 24, explained while he would jump at the chance to take on the role of 007, he feels ‘lucky enough as it is’ playing Spider-Man.
The screen star threw his hat into the ring for the coveted part – currently played by Daniel Craig, 53 – and said ‘should they want to do a younger James Bond, you best believe I would be there’.

007 in his sights: Tom Holland has said it would be ‘an actual dream come true’ to be cast as the next James Bond
Tom was speaking to Mark Wright, 34, on his Heart evening show via videolink from Atlanta on Thursday, when Mark asked: ‘You’ve mentioned that you love wearing a suit and 007 is something you’d potentially throw your name in the hat for.
‘What would that mean to you, to be Spider-Man and James Bond?’
Tom responded: ‘Oh mate, it would be an actual dream come true.
‘I’ve got to remind myself that I’m lucky enough as it is, Spider-Man is an absolute delight and privilege to play, but you know, should they want to do a younger James Bond you best believe I would be there. It is what it is, we’ll have to wait and see.’

Daniel Craig, 53, is currently fronting the James Bond franchise, but confirmed last year that No Time To Die – set to hit cinemas on September 30 – will be his last appearance as the secret agent.
Since the Skyfall star’s announcement, a wide range of actors have been touted as Craig’s replacement, from Regรฉ-Jean Page and Tom Hardy to Idris Elba and Cillian Murphy.
Marvel star Tom has been busy with press appearances over the last few weeks, with his latest project, Cherry, hitting Apple TV Plus on March 12.
Cherry follows his title character, a former Army medic suffering from PTSD who turns to robbing banks to pay for his drug addiction.

There have been rumours that original Spider-Man trilogy star Tobey Maguire will return alongside The Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield
Tom recently addressed reports in an interview with Variety, saying: ‘Beats me, I don’t know. If they are, they never told me yet.’
