Shakira focuses on work after breaking up with Gerard Pique.

Shakira is reportedly working on a revealing documentary that will delve into the major life changes she experienced following her tough break-up with Gerard Pique. The Colombian singer, aged 46, caused a stir after their split with the release of songs that hinted at their breakup, such as BZRP Music Session #53, where she suggested Pique had downgraded from a Rolex to a Casio when he left her for 24-year-old Clara Chia.

Spanish journalist Laura Fa believes the documentary will focus on the drama Shakira has faced, possibly titled “The cheating and me,” presenting her side of the story in a documentary-style format. According to journalist Lorena Vasquez, it looks like Shakira is gathering material for an audiovisual project, either a documentary or a reality show styled like a documentary. It seems like in today’s celebrity world, having your own documentary-style reality show is becoming the norm to stay in the spotlight.

Shakira is allegedly working on a revealing documentary focusing on the significant life changes she has experienced following her tumultuous breakup with Gerard Pique. Recently, she was spotted with a cameraman at the court during her tax fraud trial, capturing moments with her lawyer before heading inside. Two other cameramen wearing Film Crew bibs reportedly recorded her as she left Barcelona for Miami, leaving her sons with their father for a while. After facing a hefty fine and tax bill for financial fraud, Shakira criticized Spanish authorities for targeting high-profile individuals like herself, despite only pleaing guilty for her children’s sake. Despite her innocence claim, she chose to avoid a trial to prioritize her children and career. She expressed admiration for those who have fought similar injustices but emphasized the toll it takes on individuals’ energy, time, and peace of mind.

Yikes: The 46-year-old Colombian singer grabbed attention after her separation by dropping some diss tracks that hinted at her breakup, alleging that Pique made a trade from a Rolex to a Casio.

Facing criticism: Shakira has not shied away from expressing her dissatisfaction with Pique, the father of her two children, and his 24-year-old partner, Clara Chia.

In a recent court appearance, the singer agreed to pay a fine of £6.4 million (€7.3m) for six counts of tax fraud, a significantly reduced amount compared to what prosecutors had originally demanded. She had already settled the owed taxes, valued at nearly £15 million (€17m) with interest, and now must also pay a fine of £378,000 (€432,000) to avoid imprisonment.

Shakira and Pique ended their 11-year relationship in May, finalizing a child custody agreement in December after lengthy negotiations. The singer relocated to Miami with her children soon after.

Before her move, Shakira performed a song called Monotonia, hinting at her dissatisfaction with her former partner’s behavior. In a subsequent appearance on the Jimmy Fallon show, she delivered a track criticizing Pique and his new girlfriend, using metaphorical language to express her feelings.

The artist’s music video for Monotonia depicted a man, resembling Pique, causing emotional pain to Shakira. Her social media posts hinting at betrayal garnered support from individuals like Antonela Roccuzzo, Lionel Messi’s wife, who responded with empathetic emojis.

In court: After her hearing on Monday, Shakira criticized the Spanish government for singling out well-known figures, expressing her frustration at being ordered to pay a £6.4 million fine in addition to a £15 million tax obligation.
