J.B. Smoove offers advice for his Spider-Man: No Way Home co-stars Zendaya and Tom Holland: ‘Have time for love but have time for laughter’

It’s been a few months since Zendaya and Tom Holland confirmed their romantic relationship, with their Spider-Man: No Way Home co-star J.B. Smoove offering the couple some relationship advice.

Smoove (real name Jerry Angelo Brooks), 55, plays high school teacher Julius Dell in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home, in theaters December 17, reprising his role from the 2019 sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Smoove and his wife of 14 years, Shahidah Omar, hit the red carpet at the American Music Awards last week, where the actor offered some friendly advice for the couple.

When asked about the couple on the American Music Awards red carpet in downtown Los Angeles, Smoove said, ‘Oh, I love those two. I love them so much.’

He went on to call his co-stars, who are both 25, ‘the most adorable couple ever in the history of adorableness.’

When asked about what kind of sage advice he might offer to the young couple, Smoove had this to say.

‘Have time for love but have time for laughter. Laughter. Smiles. Stress-free lifestyle, you know. Find out about each other and find some way to keep watering that seed and keep growing and growing,’ he said.

The couple had sparked romance rumors since the press tour for the 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Though this summer they were spotted kissing in Los Angeles, while waiting for a red light to turn.

The couple has been quite private about their relationship, with Zendaya revealing to GQ that she wished those photos hadn’t surfaced.

‘The equal sentiment (we both share) is just that when you really love and care about somebody, some moments or things, you wish were your own,’ she said.

‘I think loving someone is a sacred thing and a special thing and something that you want to deal with and go through and experience and enjoy amongst the two people that love each other,’ she added.

Holland also spoke about the photos surfacing, adding, ‘One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isnโ€™t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world.’

The actor added, ‘Iโ€™ve always been really adamant to keep my private life private, because I share so much of my life with the world anyway.’

‘We sort of felt robbed of our privacy. I donโ€™t think itโ€™s about not being ready. Itโ€™s just that we didnโ€™t want to. Itโ€™s not a conversation that I can have without her. You know, I respect her too much to sayโ€ฆ This isnโ€™t my story. Itโ€™s our story. And weโ€™ll talk about what it is when weโ€™re ready to talk about it together,’ he said.
