News about Shakira’s new world tour is making fans extremely excited. Surely this will be a music event not to be missed in 2024.

After experiencing a harsh trial for six crimes against the Treasury and surviving her high-profile separation with Gerard Piqué, Shakira has managed to be reborn. Last year she enjoyed global success with her collaborations with Bizarrap and Karol G and she was one of the winners at the Latin Grammys in Seville, and she wants to extend the good streak in 2024 and 2025.

On February 15, Shakira confirmed that she will release her first album in seven years, Women No Longer Cry, and, according to her own words, her sincerity will stand out in her new lyrics.

“My new album arrives this March 22. I have not created it alone, but with all of you and with my pack of wolves, who have been accompanying me every step of the way. The production of this work has been an alchemical process. When writing each song “I rebuilt myself. By singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds and my vulnerability into resilience,” the Colombian explained in a statement shared on her social networks.

However, her tears will not only become hits and videos, but also hundreds of thousands of entries. According to sources close to Shakira, this March the megastar will announce her next world tour and her desire is to perform in Madrid. The star plans to offer four concerts at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in June 2025, according to these sources.

So far, the Hips Do n’t Lie singer has not told too many details about this new tour, although she has spoken about her wishes. “I think my new tour will be the tour of my life. I’m very excited. I had my foot on the brake and now I’m on full throttle,” she commented in an interview with Billboard in September of last year.

During her three decades of career, Shakira has made six tours: Pies descalzos, Anfibio, Tour de la Mongosta, Fijación oral, Sale el sol and El dorado, the last of which had 54 shows in Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America, between June and November 2018. According to Shakira, the El dorado tour was a good experience. But, in practice, it was a complicated experience.

The El Dorado Tour was supposed to begin in November 2017, but Shakira “pushed her voice too much,” forcing her to postpone her dates the day before her debut. At first, the idea was to delay only the first concerts. But, after suffering a series of mishaps, the entire tour was postponed until the following year, so that the artist could recover.

Last November, Shakira stated in an interview that her next tour will be something never seen before, which will mark a before and after in her career. “At the beginning of 2024 I will release my album and then there will be a world tour, the most extensive and important of my career,” she said.

The Santiago Bernabéu is the fashionable venue in Spain to hold concerts. The renovated venue has not yet hosted any musical performances, but it already has a long program in which the two Taylor Swift shows stand out on May 29 and 30, Duki on June 8, Manuel Carrasco on June 29, Luis Miguel on July 6 and 7 and Karol G on July 20, 21 and 22 and Aitana on December 28, all of them with tickets sold out.
