From Muhammad Ali to Captain Steven Hiller who helped save the world from aliens in Independence Day, Will Smith has played plenty of tough guys during his illustrious career in Hollywood.
But on Saturday the longtime leading man let fear take hold when he spotted a large tarantula spider just feet away from him.
Sharing the clip to Instagram, Will can be seen jumping on a chair as he demands his eldest son Trey get ride of the creature.

Will Smith, 53, got a fright when he and his oldest son Trey Smith noticed a large spider walking along the floor on Saturday
The father and son tandem were amazed by the size of the spider
‘What the whole hell. That is a big A** spider,’ Will declared in the video.
‘That’s a tarantula,’ Trey shot back, as his dad stood up on a chair as far away from the spider as possible.
‘Alright Trey you got to get that out of here,’ Will said to the oldest of his three children.
Trey then shoots a look back a look at his father as to say, ‘Why do I have to do it!?’

To the rescue: Trey, 29, then got the idea to trap the spider under a glass cup, which elicited a screeches and screams from his father
Courageous Will: Once the spider was trapped under the glass cup, Will got the idea of sticking a piece of paper underneath so they could lift it up and discard it outside
‘Come on you’re young and strong and you can handle the bite,’ the Bad Boys star pronounced while Trey shot another look of disbelief back at his father.
It’s at this point that Trey gets the idea of putting a glass overtop of the spider, which elicited a few screams from the Bad Boys actor.
Once the tarantula was confined under the glass, Will gets a bit of courage and finally comes down from off his chair to assist in the situation
‘Alright, we’re taking turns because we are a team,’ the Pennsylvania native tell his son, and then proceeds to get the idea to stick a piece of paper underneath the glass cup so that they can lift and up and discard it outside.

Massive: ‘Okay, now that’s the biggest spider we have ever seen in our lives,’ Trey declares, to which his father firmly agrees while holding up the cup
Assist man: The oldest of the actor’s three children watched as his dad lifted the tarantula up
But before getting rid of the tarantula, Will lifts up the glass to get a closer look at the spider.
‘Okay, now that’s the biggest spider we have ever seen in our lives,’ Trey declares, to which his father firmly agrees.
‘Okay, I don’t like that at all,’ Will adds, as Trey asks him to lift it up higher to get a better view of the critter.
‘This is a spider in the house,’ the actor says while keeping it under the cup just below eye level, before declaring.’ We’re selling the house.’

Will’s latest Instagram video comes after he returned to the platform last month, posting an apology video for slapping Chris Rock onstage at the Oscars this March.
He issued an agonizing statement of contrition for his ‘unacceptable’ conduct and confirmed that Chris was ‘not ready to talk.’
Will slapped Chris at the Oscars for making a bald joke onstage about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, who shaved her head because she has alopecia.
Less than an hour after his outburst, Will was awarded the best actor Oscar and received a standing ovation for his tearful speech in which he called himself a protector of his family and expressed a desire to be a ‘vessel of love.’

Although his departure meant he could no longer vote for the Oscars, he at that point was still able to attend the show.
However the Academy has since imposed a 10-year ban on his attending the ceremony, though he can still be nominated for an win Oscars.
