Beyonce is going viral after viewers accused her of hiding under her cowgirl hat during Fantasia Barrino’s Tina Turner tribute at the 2024 Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
Eagle-eyed viewers caught the 42-year-old superstar attempting to keep a low profile to avoid a dance-off with Barrino, 39.
Barrino paid tribute to Turner by performing Proud Mary and rocking a gold fringe minidress during the ‘In Memoriam’ segment.
At Barrino made her way off the stage to interact with the audience, and shared a shimmy with Dua Lipa.
Queen Bey, however, seemed to dodge an on-air interaction with the 39-year-old North Carolina native as she smiled, but lowered her head.

Social media swiftly reacted to the moment with funny memes
As social media flooded with reactions to some of the ceremony’s wildest moments, from Taylor Swift announcing her new album to host Trevor Noah praising his ex-girlfriend Dua Lipa‘s performance, many couldn’t help but poke fun at the 32-time Grammy winner.
‘Beyoncé looking at Fantasia walking through the crowd,’ one X user tweeted.
Another wrote: ‘LMAOOO when Fantasia came by Beyonce said [three laughing face emojis].’
‘Why was Beyonce not apart of this tribute, and why did the camera move away as Fantasia approached her?!’ a third asked. ‘Also why was she hiding behind the cowboy hat lol.’
One one disappointed member of the Beyhive also pointed out that fans were speculating on Twitter that everyone Beyonce ‘was doing this Tina Turner tribute for months for it to be Fantasia.’
The reactions come after one of her representatives confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that she would not be performing, following speculation that she would be honoring Turner.
Last month, the Australian Today falsely tweeted that the mother-of-three would pay tribute to Turner onstage.
Beyoncé, who has been open about the influence Turner had on her as a singer and woman, actually got to share the stage with her musical hero when they performed Proud Mary during the Grammy Award show in 2008.

The Brooklyn-born rapper was honored with the Dr Dre Global Impact Award for his contribution to the music industry.
With his 12-year-old daughter Blue Ivy standing on stage beside him, and wife Beyonce looking on from their table in the audience, dressed in just-off-the-catwalk Louis Vuitton by Pharrell Williams, Jay-Z spoke about the importance of dreams, drive and ambition.
He said that there were more important things in life than winning Grammys, noting they were subjective – and pointing out his superstar wife had never won best album.
‘I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year,’ Jay-Z said. ‘So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that. The most Grammys; never won Album of the Year. That doesn’t work.’
The camera cut to Beyonce, looking slightly apprehensive in the audience.
Jay-Z has been nominated for 88 competitive Grammy Awards, winning 24 of them. Six of his nominations have been for Album of the Year.
Beyonce has also been nominated for 88 competitive Grammy Awards, winning 33 of them.
Like her husband, Beyonce has been nominated six times for Album of the Year, but never won.
In 2015, when Beyonce lost out on Album of the Year to Beck, Kanye West pretended to storm the stage in protest.
The moment drew parallels to West’s actions in 2009, when he famously interrupted Swift as she accepted the Best Female Video award at the MTV awards, telling her: ‘Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you. … but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.’
