During last night’s NBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis, the league’s best and brightest were out in full force. Damian Lillard dropped 39 to lead the East to victory, and a slew of records were set along the way: a new all-time highest points total; the most all-time three pointers (42!); and a new all-time high for points recorded in a single half, which is especially insane when you consider how many shots came from so deep they neared half-court.
Maybe even more impressive than the play on the court? The sneakers the stars did it in: pretty much everyone rolled up in something special, showing off special editions of their signature performance shoes or making a statement in a classic colorway from the past. These were our favorite kicks from the NBA All-Star Game 2024.
Stephen Curry — Under Armour Curry 4 “NBA Jam”
Anthony Edwards — Adidas AE 1 “All-Star”
Jalen Brunson — Nike Kobe 4 “Gold Medal”
Jalen Brunson has been leading the Knicks to one of their best seasons in recent memory, teaming up with the recently acquired OG Anunoby to make New York a serious contender in the East. He celebrated his breakout season with a thoughtful homage to one of his idols, Kobe Bryant, donning the iconic “Gold Medal” Kobe 4s.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander — Converse All-Star BB Trilliant CX
Kevin Durant — KD 4 “Galaxy”
Nike recently reissued this classic KD colorway, featuring a slick, throwback space theme in homage to the Kennedy Space Center. The longtime sneakerhead favorites looked as dazzling on Durant’s feet this weekend as they did upon their debut at the All-Star Game in Orlando way back in 2012.
Devin Booker — Nike Book 1 “Mirage”
LeBron James — Nike LeBron 21 “DT Max 96”
Now this was an interesting one: LeBron James celebrated his 21st All-Star appearance with a custom edition of his signature Nike LeBron 21 modeled on the Air DT Max ’96—otherwise known as the Diamond Turf 3—the signature shoe of the one and only Deion Sanders. (Nike announced the return of the DT Max 96 last month, after Sanders re-signed with the brand.) No word yet on whether these are one-of-a-kind or if we’ll be seeing them soon on store shelves, but we are very much hoping for the latter.
