Fans claim ‘generation’ Mason Greenwood is ‘TOO GOOD for LaLiga’ after the Manchester United loanee starred in Getafe’s draw with Villarreal

Fans are very happy with Mason Greenwood because he played so well in Getafe’s draw with Villarreal on Friday.

Early on, Jose Bordalas’ team got a free kick on the edge of the Villarreal box. Greenwood used his weaker right foot to take it.

Yerson Mosquera made a bad clearance with his head after the Manchester United loanee’s cross, and Getafe midfielder Nemanja Maksimovic took the chance to put his team ahead.

Just a few weeks ago, Greenwood showed off his weaker foot again by scoring a chance with it against Real Betis.

Later in the game, the 22-year-old went on a stunning run after getting the ball deep. He ran past several players on the byline and then sent a driven low cross into the box.

In the second half, Villarreal scored a goal from former Liverpool fullback Alberto Moreno to tie the game.

But even though his team didn’t get all three points at El Madrigal, Greenwood’s showing got a lot of praise on social media from fans.

Someone wrote, “I’m sure Mason Greenwood is too good for La Liga.” Bruh. How do you get through people so quickly?

A second fan said, “Mason Greenwood is for all generations.”

Someone else agreed and said, “That cross from Mason Greenwood, what a player for Getafe!”

Another fan said that the United school product has what it takes to become a truly top player: “Mason Greenwood is on fire.” ‘Whoever signs him in the summer could get a world-class player.’

The England player, who has only played one game, is likely to leave United for good this summer. Atletico Madrid is one of several teams reportedly interested in getting him.

In January 2022, after a number of disturbing pictures and voice records were posted online, Greenwood was charged with attempted rape, attack, and forced behaviour.

The Crown Prosecution Service dropped the charges in February 2023, though, after key witnesses dropped their cases. Greenwood has said he did nothing wrong.
