Brianna Aguilera was found dead at an apartment complex at the University of Texas in Austin after the rivalry game agaianst Texas A&M.

Brianna Aguilera, a Laredo native and Texas A&M student just one year shy of graduating, was at a tailgate in a West Campus apartment complex when she was found unresponsive. The Austin Police Department said officers responded to 21 Rio Apartments at 2101 Rio Grande Street around 12:47 a.m. Saturday, November 29, and confirmed Aguilera’s death just before 1 a.m.

“When officers arrived on the scene, they located an adult female who was not responding,” APD confirmed in a statement to Chron. Aguilera was pronounced deceased at 12:57 a.m.
“At this time, the incident is not being investigated as a homicide, and there are no indications of suspicious circumstances,” the department added. “The cause of death will be determined by the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office. The investigation remains ongoing.”
“The details surrounding what happened next remain unclear, and her mother is still awaiting answers,” a GoFundMe page set up in Aguilera’s memory reads. “Our hearts are shattered.”

As of Monday, December 1, Aguilera’s GoFundMe fundraiser had raised over $17,000 to support her mother during this “unimaginable loss.” Organizers said the page will remain open to allow continued support.
