Yungblud cancels all his gigs after ‘blood tests raise concerns’

Yungblud has revealed he’s cancelled all his forthcoming gigs after ‘blood tests have raised some concerns’.

The 28 year old rock star, who is set to bring his Idols World Tour to the UK in April 2026, said he has been instructed to take time off and won’t be performing for the rest of the year.

He had been scheduled to perform across America in November. Issuing a statement, he told fans: “This year has been truly unbelievable and I feel so lucky and honoured from everything that has happened.

“This week when I got home off the road, and went to have some tests done (like I usually do) and my voice and blood tests have raised some concerns.

“It is in my nature to run and run until l run myself to the ground without giving a f*** about anything apart from the music and you guys but this time I’ve been told I have to take it seriously and I can’t f*** around.”

He added: “I’m so sorry to do this. But reluctantly I have to cancel the shows through the end of the year.

“These include Philadelphia, Cleveland, Washington, Mexico City and Latin America – My heart is broken.

“I don’t want to do any lasting damage to myself, we are on a journey that I want to last forever.

“I understand that some of you will be frustrated.

“I just want you to know that this is so hard for me to do but I promise I will make it up to you.

“You know you are everything to me. But I need this time.”

Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, has been on tour promoting his latest album Idols, which was launched in June.

The artist recently earned a Grammy nomination for the album in the best rock album category, as well as a nomination for best rock song for his single Zombie.

He recently hit back at “bitter and jealous” rock stars who criticised his tribute to Ozzy Osbourne at the MTV Video Music Awards.

He had joined forces with Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry at the VMAs to honour the late Black Sabbath legend, who passed away aged 76 in July.

However, the performance was met with some backlash, as The Darkness guitarist Dan Hawkins labelled it “another nail in the coffin of rock n roll”.

His brother Justin chimed in on his YouTube channel, Justin Hawkins Rides Again, stating: “Yungblud seems to have positioned himself as a natural heir to the Ozzy legacy, having nothing to do with the really important stuff.”

Yungblud and Ozzy’s son Jack Osbourne spoke out on Jack’s Trying Not To Die podcast.

He said: “I think the strangest thing about that was all I was trying to do was my best for your old man, because he gave me such a gift.

“When people try and intellectualise a sense of spirit and six musicians on a stage going ‘f****** love you man’, it’s just bitter and jealous,” he added.

“They are doing the things they say we are doing – they’re trying to insert themselves into a conversation to obtain some kind of relevancy, on the back of us honouring one of the greatest rock stars that ever lived – and then they talk about authenticity and stuff like that.”

Jack himself insisted “these people didn’t f****** know” how involved he was in Ozzy’s life.

He added: “They don’t know the f****** story of it, the things we know, and I was kind of like, ‘F*** you dude’.

“Dom meant something to my dad, my dad meant something to Dom. I texted you the night of the gig and I said, ‘F****** crush it.’ “.
