Ella Langley has found that joy often comes from the simple things. In a recent “day in the life” video, the country star admits that one of the small things that makes her happiest is spending her hard-earned money on makeup.
While giving a glimpse into what a typical day on the road looks like for her, Langley explained that if she’s having a “depressive day,” one of the best ways to lift her spirits is exploring a nearby Ulta beauty store.
Once inside, she danced through the aisles while trying out different shades of glitter eyeliner and eyeshadow and stocking up on some of her staple products.
Langley later justified her little splurge by saying that if she’s going to put in all the long hours and late nights to make a good living, she might as well enjoy spending a bit of it along the way.
“This is one of my joys in life. I don’t know. I like doing makeup, bro. What am I working my ass off for, making all this sh** if you can’t use a little bit of it?” she asked.

At the end of the day, the “Choosin’ Texas” singer knows you can’t take your earnings with you when you’re gone, so you might as well enjoy them while you can. Still, she reminded fans that money isn’t what truly matters, it’s the people who stick with you through it all.
“You can’t take it with you. You know what you can take with you people. That’s the only thing you can take with you to heaven when you go,” she continued.
This shopping excursion was just a small portion of the day that she showed to her followers in the video. The clip began with her waking up to her alarm at around 10 AM with her dog Crue in her arms. From there, she wondered out to the living space of her bus to check in with her photographer for photos.
“Well the first thing I do is come out here and I annoy Caylee. Can I see the pictures?” she asked the photographer before realizing, “they’re on my phone already. She sent them. She stayed up until 3:00 AM. She made them with her two hands.”
Another important step in her morning routine is feeding her pup. She joked that Crue has figured out her ADHD diagnosis and now knows how to get her attention if she momentarily forgets she was in the midst of preparing his breakfast.
Ella Langley then got dressed in a sweatsuit, did a bit of shopping, and got some food, which of course included an sweet tea.
In her caption, Langley noted this was just “part one” of a day in her life, meaning the second half of the video should be on its way.
The Alabama native has just one weekend left of her SOLD-OUT Still Hungover Tour , along with a few additional performances outside of the trek before wrapping things up for the year. She is set to close out the run this weekend with back-to-back shows at Nashville’s legendary Ryman Auditorium on November 6 and 7.
Ella Langley will return to the road beginning in February when she joins Eric Church’s Free The Machine Tour followed by additional supporting dates with Morgan Wallen.
