“We All Miss You”: Six Years After a Heartbreaking Loss, Dwyane Wade Pens Touching Note in Memory of a Dear Friend, Joined by Udonis Haslem in Shared Prayers

Hall of Famer Dwayne Wade paid respects to his sports agent, Henry Thomas, six years after his tragic demise. The legendary NBA player agent, part of CAA Sports, lost his life after a hard-fought battle to recover from a neuromuscular disease in 2018. Owing to that, the Miami Heat legend took to his Instagram handle and penned an emotional note, remembering his former agent. In his message on IG stories, Wade wrote, “Dear Hank, We all miss you-in all the moments, but you will be proud of us all. We show up for each other. We love you and we’re all thinking of you-a little bit more on this day.”

Apart from that, the message also carried a note on the side, which read, “I miss seeing your proud dad face when I accomplish things no one seen coming! Love Dwyane.” With that story, he also tagged Thomas’ family members, along with his former teammate, Udonis Haslem. In the following IG story, he shared a picture with Thomas’ family members. Notably, Wade considered Thomas to be his father figure.

Following the demise in 2018, Wade said, “I’ve never lost anyone in my family that’s been close to me… This is the first person that I’ve lost so just dealing with that,” reported CBS News. Henry, in his 30-year-old career, had roped in Dwyane Wade to the league, the legendary sports agent’s biggest deal. Apart from that, he also roped in stars like Chris Bosh, Tim Hardaway Sr., and Haslem.

Compared to other players who have a strictly professional relationship with their agents, D-Wade had a special bond. Right from the day he was drafted to the day, Henry passed away. Let’s look closer at Henry’s words speaking about Wade.

Dwyane Wade had a HoF career and during the last phase of it, he made a shift from his favorite side, Heat. After two years, he made a return to the Florida side. Before returning to the side, the father figure had a strong message for Wade.

He said, “Not only does Dwyane get to extend his Hall of Fame-worthy career with the only franchise for whom he has ever played, but he will have the flexibility next summer to sign an additional deal, ” . But, before Wade could don the Heat jersey, Henry passed away after a year of struggling with a neuromuscular disease.
