• Rylee Arnold took to TikTok to express her gratitude for her experience with Scott Hoying on ‘DWTS’ after their shocking elimination.
• Arnold praised Hoying’s work ethic and said that she was ‘proud of the improvements he was making.’
• The pair were eliminated during the ‘Wicked’-themed episode on Oct. 21.

Rylee Arnold reflected on her time competing on Dancing With the Stars this season with partner Scott Hoying, despite their shocking elimination.

The dance pro, 20, opened up about the elimination in a TikTok titled “GRWM While I Talk About Last Night on DWTS 🥺🫶🏻” on Oct. 22. In the video, she opened up about working closely with the Pentatonix singer, 34, and their surprising exit during the Wicked-themed episode.

“This morning I have a heavy heart for sure,” she started. “I’m sad that my journey with Scott this season is over cause it was such an amazing season.”

She then went on to express her “gratitude” for the opportunity to compete this season and for her time working with Hoying and their blossoming friendship.

“I was proud of the improvements he was making,” she continued. “I was proud that he was going out there and doing his thing and that’s all you can ask for.”

She called Hoying one of the most “kind and genuine people I know” and also gushed about “insane work ethic” throughout the season. She recalled that “He would finish our four-hour rehearsals and he would go home and he would practice for hours [and] he would get the steps down [by] the next day.”

“We’re not gonna have rehearsals this week, and our journey this season is over,” she added. “And that’s definitely a tough pill to swallow.”

During this week’s episode, each couple chose a song to perform from Wicked with guest judge and director John M. Chu.

Arnold and Hoying performed a contemporary dance to the track “The Wizard & I,” which ended up earning them 7’s from the judges. With one of the lower scores of the night, the pair ended up being eliminated.

During their post-elimination interview with co-host Alfonso Ribeiro, Hoying gushed about the experience being “everything” to him, while Arnold shared that she “couldn’t have asked for a better partner” this season.”

“Riley is my favorite person ever,” he said. “I had so much fun. I learned so much. And it’s Wicked Night, that’s a perfect way to go.”

While the pair’s time on the season is over, Arnold clarified that fans will still “see me every week on the show” dancing in the opening numbers, which she is “so grateful for” and she’s “glad that I can keep dancing” the rest of the season.
