After his impressive victory in the Grand Prix of Italy, where he again showed his dominance in Formula 1, Max Verstappen did not opt for the usual parties or media obligations. Instead, the Dutchman decided to surprise his girlfriend Kelly Piquet with an intimate and unexpected trip: a romantic adventure on an uninhabited island.
According to sources in the vicinity of the couple, Verstappen was keen to completely unwind after the hectic pace of Monza and at the same time to show his love for Kelly. The 34-year-old Piquet, daughter of triple world champion Nelson Piquet, was completely surprised when Verstappen told her after the race that they would not return to their usual residence, but set for a secret island in the Mediterranean Sea.
A dinner under the stars
Once arrived on the island, Verstappen had arranged everything to perfection. There was an atmospheric dinner on the beach, complete with candles, a wooden table and local dishes prepared by a private chef. The driver, known for his sobriety, showed a romantic side that was unknown to many.
Kelly later shared some subtle hints via social media, including a photo of a sunset and a table full of shells and flowers. Fans immediately speculated that this had to be the work of Verstappen.

He gave Kelly a tailor -made bracelet, in which both the coordinates of their first meeting were incorporated a small symbol of a racing car.
