Thanks to a recent study by Gambling.com, there is empirical data to back who are the most annoying teams in the NBA.
After compiling data of social media posts over the past year of annoying fan bases, it’s revealed that the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors have the most annoying fan bases in the NBA. The study found over 12,000 social media posts claiming the Lakers fans to be the most annoying, with the Warriors claiming 2nd place with 10,810. These were the only two teams to reach over 10,000.
The top 2 teams are far from surprising, as both teams are a combination of legitimate success and bandwagoners. Los Angeles and Golden State, both California teams, have a reputation of buying championships and, aside from diehards, are usually full of fans who jump from one front runner to the next.
2 of the most successful franchises in history, there were bound to be a few detractors from the Lakers and Warriors, but the fanbases around them are typically vocal and let everyone know when they’re winning, and nowhere to be found when they lose.
